…because everybody needs a cheesy night out once in a while! It’s no wonder that since having a toddler the frequency at which we eat out has dropped to practically nothing. It only took a few bad experiences to realize eating out was far more work than dining in. Spilled drinks, toddler tantrums and unspeakable messes are better held in the privacy of our own home. Christmas Staycation
We hope everyone had a joyful Christmas this year! Emerging from a week of relaxation in Spirit Lake I am feeling dazed to say the least. Where am I? What day is it? What YEAR is it? Blog, what blog? Santa Arrived Early
We decided to have our own early-bird Christmas tonight since we’ll be out-of-town for the next week! Nic surprised Emerson after daycare and had her new slide assembled and ready to go! Just as we expected, it was a huge hit. We opted for a model on the smaller side so that it could live inside for a while and she could have something to climb on when it’s too cold to play outside. December Outings
‘Tis the season to be jolly! A few weeks ago we took a family trip to the Botanical Center to check out the Christmas festivities. This is one of our favorite places to visit and we hadn’t been there since Emerson started walking. It was refreshing to see all of the blooming plants sparkling with lights and to get a small break from the dry winter climate outside.
