Sunday morning we woke up with the sun and went along with Nic to his favorite fishing spot. The scenery was literally picture-perfect and I now understand why he ventures there so often. Emerson and I had fun hiking around, bird-watching, and finding sticks while Bela tore through the grass enjoying every last second of freedom in the wild. If ticks didn’t exist, I would begin every day just like this. ...
February Fun (Finally)
After canceling our plans several times, Emerson and I finally made it to Spirit Lake last weekend! We had a lot of fun with Grammy and Grandpa; in fact, they kept us pretty busy with sledding, shopping and nail painting! I never in a million years would have been brave enough to paint this wild girl’s nails, but her Gram sure had the magic touch. Fun music, lively murals, friendly service and food on our table in a matter of minutes is a winning combination. Emme...

We hope everyone had a joyful Christmas this year! Emerging from a week of relaxation in Spirit Lake I am feeling dazed to say the least. Where am I? What day is it? What YEAR is it? Blog, what blog? Now that we’re home and back into the daily swing of things, it’s time to share some holiday joy! The past few weeks have been a blur – just like every other holiday in my experience. Emerson spent Christmas with my family this year and since being home we’ve noticed some definite spoilage after constant attention from aunts and grandparents! Emme was the first to begin opening gifts and the last...
