‘Tis the season to be jolly! A few weeks ago we took a family trip to the Botanical Center to check out the Christmas festivities. This is one of our favorite places to visit and we hadn’t been there since Emerson started walking. It was refreshing to see all of the blooming plants sparkling with lights and to get a small break from the dry winter climate outside. Emerson loved watching the colorful Koi fish and running across the bridges!

Yesterday afternoon Emerson had her first Santa encounter at the Bass Pro Shop! It was a total zoo but the line moved fast and there was much to see in the mean time. It wasn’t love at first sight, but we were very proud of her for giving Santa a chance and showing no fear! We’ll definitely be back next year!
