It’d be crazy to pass up quality family time in Spirit Lake — especially during the summer so this past weekend called for a road trip. As Emerson’s first birthday approaches, the urge to walk down memory lane grows stronger. Our yard is full of variety and color right now! The flowers are flourishing and veggies are growing wildly in this heat. A jungle of squash, tomatoes and corn (yes, corn) are taking over the back yard — Emerson’s poor cherry tree is almost unrecognizable amidst our leggy crops!
