Let’s do this — bringing our angel home! Emerson was released from the hospital the Saturday after she was born! Our time there wasn’t as relaxing as I had imagined; nurses in and out of the room all hours of the day/night and baby stressed me out when she didn’t catch on to nursing very well. We struggled through and eventually gave in to supplementing with formula. The day we were scheduled to check-out, we woke up to a bright orange bundle — jaundice. After 3 additional days in the hospital and endless poking and prodding, E’s bilirubin levels came down enough for us to take our little pumpkin home...
Baby Bliss
As I’ve been feeling so thankful for this beautiful miracle, all concept of time has completely escaped me! So much has happened since my last post. After months of anticipation, Emerson Eleanor was finally born! I went into labor at midnight on September 7 and spent the next 6.5 hours pacing around our apartment and bouncing around on an exercise ball. Presenting… Emerson Eleanor

I Made a Garden!
Another weekend almost gone, but we have a crib to show for it! Baby’s room is well underway and ready for some show-and-tell! I’m eagerly awaiting the dresser and handmade crib bumper/skirt a la Grandma Deb. It’s hard to put stuff away when it’s all so cute. I wish it could be displayed forever but unfortunately I still have a pile of things to shove into the closet somehow… baby E.E. is already very spoiled! Loved spending some time with my parents yesterday and looking forward to a visit from Nic’s parents this evening for a belated birthday celebration. Here we go — week 38!...
