Sunny Days

The weather this weekend was a total blessing after a stressful week of moving and being sick. We’re settling in to our house and everyone finally seems to be feeling good again. Yesterday Emerson and I strolled up to the square for a little shopping and girl-time. A dose of fresh air and sunshine had us loving life!...

Weekend Update

Emerson wakes up happy every day! Saturday she had a relaxing morning, napped with her friends, got dressed up for Everett’s 1-year birthday party and rested up for her first Super Bowl Sunday!  ...

Oh Say Can You Say

Looking back, there are certain things I hope to always remember about Emerson at this age (there are also things I hope to forget but let’s stay positive). We’ve been having a blast these past few weeks and it’s certainly a welcome distraction from the winter blues. I’m talking about an extraordinarily happy baby, folks! She wakes up smiling in the morning and keeps it up all day long. That said, I wouldn’t trade a week with my family for anything. Today will be bitter-sweet because although I’ve had a much-anticipated wonderful time, I’m sad to leave...

Ho Ho Home For the Holidays: Part 1

Christmas vacation so far… We traveled through some wild weather to spend Christmas Eve in Humboldt. Despite blizzard conditions we made it safely and enjoyed the evening with Nic’s family. Christmas morning was very relaxed and full of gifts and Christmas stories. Emerson and I traveled north to Spirit Lake later in the morning where we spent the next week. There’s nothing quite like spending time with family, especially over holidays. This was a very special year as we are all very thankful to have Emerson there for her very first Christmas! I am so thankful for this amazing blessing and look forward to making every Christmas special for my...
