Christmas Eve Day was full of family, friends and food! It marked the first day of waking up to a house full of Naber girls (and Gene) — a week-long tradition we hold dearly. Thanks to Emerson my sisters didn’t get to sleep in as late as they would like considering they were on vacation, but they were just as happy to wake up to her as she was to have them here! One highlight of the day was catching up with some of my favorite friends over lunch! I couldn’t feel more blessed to have these women in my life and am so proud of each one of them!...
Rocking Around the Christmas Tree
Today we decorated the Christmas tree! I really thought Emerson would be all about ornaments this year, but she was more interested in eating raisins and literally rocking around the tree… well near it anyway. She’s been down with a pretty bad cold the past week so it was satisfying just to see her having some fun. ...
Life in the North Pole
Fall-ing into a new routine: Emerson made herself right at home at Papa and Gaga’s house. She’s had a great transition into a new daycare and loves seeing her cousin, Jackson, every day at school! His awesome parents have invited me to share their BonFire Web Company office space which I couldn’t be more grateful for! Earlier this week we had a play date with them at the pumpkin patch… so this is what it’s like to...
Two Step
Happy 2nd Birthday (yesterday) to my enchanting Emerson! We love you and can’t wait to see what the next year brings! Enjoy some wonderful photos from E’s 2 year shoot. Many thanks to the girls at Emery Photo+Design — your patience and creativity are very refreshing!...
Memorial Day Weekend ’12
This was nothing short of a full weekend! Emerson and I spent Thursday night through Sunday afternoon in Spirit Lake. We took a stroll through the park Friday morning and while checking out The Queen found a family of ducks to watch. In all of her excitement upon the scene of ducklings, Emerson wiped out and scraped up her knees. This was her first real injury involving blood and although she only cried for a minute she’s still reminding me of her ‘boo boo’ a week later (it’s completely healed). The day only got better when we met up with my favorite long-lost Okobojians — Mia and Susan! We spent...
