Molar Mayhem

Molars. You can’t live with ’em. You can’t live without ’em. Emerson has been going through a major molar meltdown for the past week. My only question – when will it end!? Teething as we knew it was bad enough, but this is a whole new level of torture for the whole family. Tantrums, irritability, decreased appetite, fever, biting and refusal to sleep are just a few of the lovely symptoms.  Thank goodness for re-runs of Friends from 1-3 am and I Love Lucy from 3-5 am. I would never have guessed this would be my schedule at 13 months! I spotted one emerged molar in Emme’s mouth last night; let’s just...

10 Fingers, 10 Toes, 10 Months

Is it just me or does 10 months seem significantly older than 9 months?  Every day is a new adventure when they change so quickly.  We’ve come quite a long way in a short amount of time. Emerson has grown from 19.5 inches when she was born to 30 inches! She’s become an adventurous eater, sound sleeper, and colorful comedian. In the past month she’s had a 48 hr stomach flu, an eye infection and 6 new teeth! Completely hardcore if you ask me! Even with all that trauma we’ve managed to have a great month! She’s mastered extreme crawling in which she acts like a dog and runs around...

Toothy Grin

Check out my sweet teeth! I’ve had a hard time getting them here, but aren’t they great!? This has been an exciting week because I started daycare! I go three days a week and get to play with lots of other babies my same size! My mom’s eyes got very watery the first time she dropped me off, I think she was sad. It will get easier for her once she sees how much fun I have while I’m there! I tried to eat avocado this week but the thought of food still makes me gag. Even though I love sitting in my high chair and watching mom and dad...

Ketch-up!

It’s Saturday and Emerson is taking her morning nap.  After going 2 weeks without our computer I’m uninspired to do anything outside of catching up the blog and surfing the web! Once again, it’s snowing outside and I would be happy not to leave the house at all this weekend. We’re looking forward to some big changes in the coming month! My princess will be 6 months old next week! The time has come for her to start daycare. I’m thrilled to have put it off as long as we did and I know her dad treasured the time they had together while she was just a wee one. As...

Drool Monster

It’s hard to believe a baby as cheerful as this could have nicknames such as Grizzly Bear and Monster Face. Lurking within the laughter is a drooly, beastly howl. We suspect teeth but only time will tell!...
